Sr Tooling Engineer - DDS

Job Summary
Responsible for managing Device Development Support (DDS) injection mold projects through quoting, mold design, construction, debugging, process development, qualification and validation. Participate in DDS programs with part and mold design reviews as they relate to Design for Manufacture (DFM)/ Design for Assembly (DFA) and mold configuration.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage various aspects of mold development including, but not limited to; design reviews, fabrication and qualification related to prototype and pilot molds.
Act as tooling lead in the DDS Group by participating in part design reviews as they relate to manufacturability and tool viability.
Act as primary point of contact between the DDS Group and our tooling vendor base.
Development of program driven mold specifications and solicitation of quotes from tooling vendors.
Preparation of purchase requisitions and order placement within the purchasing systems.
Provide tooling cost estimates in support of assigned RFQ's.
Development and maintenance of tooling construction timelines in MS Project.
Preparation of tooling status reports for both customers and internal use.
Manage integration of customer expectations/requirements in the areas of mold design, cavitation, prototyping and Moldflow analysis.
Assist with mold supplier evaluations for the approved supplier list.
Manage tooling designs to conform to Nypro's established standards.
Support development of part handling and metrology requirements and the requisite tooling fixtures.
Identify root cause and develop corrective actions when cosmetic, dimensional and/or functional issue arise.
Education & Experience Requirements
Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in mold design and/or construction for tight tolerance, healthcare plastic components. Processing, metrology and/or automation experience a plus.
MS Office including Project desired.
Proficiency with Creo or SolidWorks desired. CAE experience a plus.
Must be able to travel

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
