Coordinator Intake

The intake coordinator performs new patient intake procedures and identifies appropriate candidates for house calls by screening patients and verifying insurance benefits.
Responsible for processing new patient intake referrals received via fax, email or phone.
Responsible for providing assistance to referral sources, patients, or their families with questions about procedures within the practice.
Responsible for assisting billing with special projects or backlog
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone's responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems.
HS Diploma or equivalent,
Healthcare or customer service experience (preferred)
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of basic medical terminology
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work independently to meet deadlines and goals
Ability to speak Spanish (preferred)
Ability to use / operate standard office equipment and tools, outlook, excel, word, EMR system including visit note, VOIP Phone system, knowledge of insurance plans, ability to operate eligibility verification

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
