CAD Architect Programmer

The CAD Architect Programmer is responsible for designing and developing software solutions that facilitate architectural design, drafting, and modeling processes using CAD software.
This role combines architectural expertise with programming skills to create custom tools, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize CAD workflows for architectural projects.
TEMO is the largest US builder of outdoor living spaces such as sunrooms, screen rooms, patio covers, pergolas, and luxury sheds.
Essential Functions/
Responsibilities:
Develop, customize, and maintain CAD software applications and tools tailored to the specific needs of architectural projects.
Integrate CAD software with other relevant design and project management software systems to create seamless workflows.
Design and implement automation scripts and processes to reduce manual tasks in architectural design, drafting, and documentation.
Customize CAD software to meet the unique requirements of architectural projects, including building codes, regulations, and design standards.
Collaborate with engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and implement software solutions accordingly.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of CAD software to ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance.
Maintain detailed documentation of software configurations, customizations, and coding practices.
Remain current and continuously improve and update existing software tools to adapt to changing needs with the latest CAD software trends, architectural design methodologies, and programming languages to ensure the software remains current and efficient.
Implement security measures to protect architectural designs and sensitive project data.

Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in architecture, computer science, or a related field.
Proven experience in architectural design and drafting using CAD software.
Strong programming skills, with proficiency in languages such as C# Familiarity with CAD software platforms (e.
g.
, AutoCAD, Inventor).
Ability to understand and translate architectural concepts into software solutions.
Problem-solving skills to address complex architectural and software challenges.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in 3D modeling, preferred.
Physical Demands:
Work with hands and fingers daily; keyboarding and mouse usage.
Long periods of computer operation and monitoring are part of the daily routine.
Work with large scale printers and lamination and seal machine.
Work Environment:
The position is in an office setting with extended periods working on a personal computer.
Occasionally visits to manufacturing area which may exposed to noise, smells, heat, etc.
