Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Critical Care ICU Macomb Rotating 36 Hours
GENERAL
Summary:
The NP-ICU/Critical Care will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary critical care unit.
The NP-ICU/Critical Care will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to critically ill patients and their families.
Provides inpatient medical care for critically ill patients requiring ICU level of care.
Works in collaboration with intensivist physicians, attending physicians, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently.
Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must be a Masters prepared Registered Nurse who has graduated and taken the board certification within their chosen specialty -OR- Must be a Masters prepared Physician Assistant who has graduated from an AMA approved Physician Assistant program BLS/ACLS required.
Acute care NP or PA.
Preferred 1
years' experience in critical care/ICU as an APP.
